MORE CONTROL OVER CONSUMPTION, MORE SUSTAINABLE SPENDING
Bringing billing closer to actual consumption will contribute to more conscious use of water and savings for families
Based on the meter readings taken by EPAL, or communicated by the Customer, the volumes of water consumed by the Customer are calculated and billed according with consumption levels.
Because it represents the basis of billing, EPAL has been bringing the taking of readings closer together, with the aim of supporting families in moving towards more efficient behaviour and, above all, eliminating waste, which is an unnecessary expense that costs more at the end of the month.
In addition, EPAL has invested in technology at the Customer’s service, aiming to provide more means of facilitating good contract management, such as EPALnet and the myAQUA® app, with online validation of reported readings, in addition to the availability of the Water Bill in Litres, which makes it possible to be more aware of the amount of water consumed.
Aware of the need to support the reduction of household losses, EPAL has also launched the waterbeep® service, which provides Customers with information on water consumption, enabling them to optimise the use of water in their homes or offices. This service includes alerts, by SMS and/or e-mail, signalling atypical water consumption and possible water losses in the private network.
To reinforce sustainability, EPAL will now increase the frequency of readings to every 2 months, allowing greater control over water spending and supporting household efficiency.
If the Customer has a monthly bill and wishes to be billed for actual consumption each month, they can report the reading in the intervening months. The means available are:
• Meter Reading Phone Line | 800 201 101
• EPALnet | with online validation of the reported reading
• myAQUA | Free app for Android and iOS
• waterbeep® home | with online validation of the reported reading
